The Friendship Project
The Friendship Project is family governed Innovation Initiative, in the Comox Valley, that is funded through Community Living British Columbia. In October of 2008 Jay was interviewed by the families and officially assumed his role as facililtator in early November. Working directly with, and for, famlies has been a transformational experience for Jay. Without the constraints of organizational structure, Jay is able to be very responsive to what the families are asking for. The opportunity for creativity and partnerships with local generic resources has provided the families and community with a project that strives to be reciprocal and engaging for all community members.

The project was an opportunity, for Jay, to work closely with individuals, family members, and staff with Spectrum in very intentional ways. The PSN team of Susan, Joanne, Mishel, Aaron and Jay presented the project at the 2008 BCACL "Tools for Change" conference in Langley British Columbia.
